Against the other child’s slaughter of over 100 of his friends.
The other child says
He could’ve killed more than that if he wanted to.

One child
Destroyed Joseph’s tomb,
Even though he promised not to,
So the other child
Burned down the other child’s mosque.
One child gets lots of money from an older cousin across the ocean,
So the cousins of the other child blew a big hole in one of the big cousin’s boats.
This shows no signs of slowing ...
And it will never stop,
No matter how well-intentioned the middle children are,
Who only want a happy family.
Children all over the world are asking,
“Why are you two fighting?”
“There are 25 acres of land.
We call it Holy,
And we will fertilize its sacred soil with blood
If we have to before
We let the other child have it.”
“I see”,
Respond the children who don’t understand it.
“It’s all about who has the best imaginary friend then.
You guys are stupid.”
This is what children fight over
When they don’t want to admit that they don’t know what’s up in the sky
Or what happens when any of us die.
